DR CHINH NGUYEN
BDSc, MDSc, FRACDS, Dip (Sedation & Pain Control), MRACDS (Paed. Dentistry)
Chinh graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1993. He obtained his Master of Dental Science (Paediatric Dentistry) from the University of Sydney in 1997 and became a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons the same year. In 2000 Chinh completed a Diploma in Conscious Sedation and Pain control at Westmead Hospital. He has been a Specialist Paediatric Dentist in full time Private practice since 1998 and currently runs two surgeries in Liverpool and Parramatta. His interests include Conscious Sedation (oral, inhalation and intravenous) for children's behaviour management, dento-alveolar trauma & its management, surgery, and orthodontics.
DR SHERENE ALEXANDER
BDS (Mongalore), MDS , FRACDS, MRACDS (Paed. Dentistry), Staff Specialist and Senior Clinical Lecturer, Pediatric Dentistry, Westmead Centre for Oral Health
Sherene is currently employed as a Staff Specialist at Westmead Centre for Oral Health and as a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Dentistry, at the University of Sydney. Her interests lie in trauma and its management, oral medicine and pathologies in children. She is an executive member of the Australian Society for Special Care in Dentistry and has several publications to her credit.
DR NEETA PRABHU
BDS, MDS, MPhil, FRACDS, MRACDS (Paed. Dentistry), Staff Specialist and Senior Clinical Lecturer, Pediatric Dentistry, Westmead Centre for Oral Health
Born and educated in India, Neeta Prabhu completed her Master of Dental Surgery in Pediatric Dentistry and left for the UK to work initially as a Fellow in research methodology in London. She was then awarded the NHS R&D (UK) scholarship and successfully completed her MPhil (Ped. Dent) from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK before heading to Australia in late 2002 to be employed as a Senior Registrar at Westmead Hospital. She went on to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons the following year.
Neeta is currently employed as a Staff Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health and the Sydney Dental Hospital. She is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney and is the Undergraduate course coordinator in Pediatric Dentistry for the BDent program. She has published widely in several international scientific journals and her interests include behaviour management restorative dentistry and treatment of children with disabilities. She is an active executive member for the Australian Society for Special Care in dentistry and is a council member for the International Association for Disability and Oral Health (IADH).
